Better education. Better health. Together we're building a healthier Cambodia.

Who we are

Khemarak Education & Health Organization (KEHO) is an independent Cambodian non-profit. We research and promote better ways to teach, to care for people and to live well.

We work alongside national agencies and with partners in Cambodia and abroad, so that every Cambodian can learn well and stay healthy in body and mind.

What we focus on

KEHO is a new organization. These are the four areas where we're starting.

Education and research

អប់រំ និងស្រាវជ្រាវ

Better learning through research, Khmer-language textbooks and new graduate programs.

Health and mental health

សុខភាព និងសុខភាពផ្លូវចិត្ត

Better care for body and mind, including research into traditional Khmer medicine.

Youth and sports

យុវជន និងកីឡា

Helping young people grow through sport, starting with baseball and Little League.

International cooperation

កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការអន្តរជាតិ

Connecting Cambodia with Cambodian communities and partners around the world.

From a refugee camp to a doctorate, and home to Cambodia

Dr. Sathya Pholy grew up in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge years, became a psychologist and educator in the United States, and founded KEHO to give Cambodia what education gave him.

Knowledge and wisdom can never be taken away from you.
